Exhibit at The National Transition Event

The largest event of this kind in the UK

The National Transition Event, organised by Mission Motorsport and Mission Community, is a unique gathering that includes the Troops’ Track Day. It brings together over 1000 Service Leavers, Veterans, and their families with employers and veterans in industry. The event focuses on providing insight, networking opportunities, and support for transitioning to successful and sustainable civilian careers.

Importantly, it is not a traditional job fair but rather a platform for meaningful connections and career development.

The annual go-to event for the Armed Forces community

The National Transition Event continues to build on past successes to create an impactful and innovative experience for attendees. It provides a forum for Service leavers, Veterans, and their families seeking connections with companies, sharing good practices, and to discuss ways to engage with the Armed Forces community for mutual benefit. Companies are encouraged to bring their own veteran employees to help attendees transition into civilian employment and understand how their military skills can be translated.

The event emphasises networking with both attendees and other exhibitors to share ideas about best practices and Armed Forces Engagement Programmes. It’s a unique opportunity to meet members of the Armed Forces community, rather than recruiters who are often solely focused on targets.

Using the power of the Armed Forces community to deliver a sustainable impact

The National Transition Event at Silverstone is designed to be both impactful and innovative, offering a range of opportunities for both attendees and exhibitors alike:

Widen Horizons: Help individuals access support and recognize their potential.

Promote Your Company: Showcase your industry to a motivated, highly skilled, and hardworking population, with sponsorship options available.

Career Opportunities: Discuss potential roles with service leavers, veterans, military spouses, and partners.

Networking: Connect with Government, MoD, and industry players.

Spacious Environment: Create engaging displays and areas for meaningful conversations.

Engagement Leads: Speak with Defence Relationship Management and Mission Community’s Armed Forces Engagement Leads in Automotive/Renewable/Manufacturing/Others about engaging with industry.

The event is advertised through the MoD, CTP, Defence Recovery Capability, and veteran networks, and is a classed as ‘duty event’ for those still serving.

An Iconic Venue

Silverstone: an iconic and sustainable venue. Here are some highlights:

GP Circuit and Silverstone Wing: The event includes the GP Circuit with about 100 supercars for passenger laps and the Silverstone Wing, offering over 5,000m³ of indoor space for exhibits, networking, and break-out meetings.

Environmental Accreditation: Silverstone has received a Three-Star Environmental accreditation from the FIA for its progress towards a net zero future.

Shift to Zero Strategy: Since 2022, Silverstone has made significant strides, including:

•Installing 2,764 solar panels on the Wing’s roof, generating over 13% of the venue’s energy.

•Switching all on-site generators to HVO biofuel, reducing emissions by 90%.

•Converting 50% of its lighting to LED, with a goal of 100% by 2025.

•Fully powering the venue with renewable energy since April 2023.

•Installing 24 solar-powered EV charge points.

•Achieving a 35% recycling rate for on-site waste, with the remainder used in a Waste for Energy programme powering 50,000 homes in Oxfordshire.

This commitment to sustainability makes Silverstone an even more impressive venue for the National Transition Event.
